VeryNile is an Egyptian initiative working to reduce plastic pollution in the Nile while supporting the communities that live and work along the river. Through plastic collection, recycling, upcycling, and community projects, it connects environmental action with local livelihoods. On Qursaya Island, Shoka w Megdaf brings people together over Egyptian food, offering a welcoming space to share a meal and experience the island's community and riverside atmosphere.

    Full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the experience. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the experience are eligible for a 50% refund.

    Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a light layer for the evening. A phone or camera is great for capturing the Nile views, and you may want to bring cash or a suitable payment method for shopping at VeryNile's store.

    We'll meet at a designated spot on the Maadi Corniche, where we'll board the boat together and sail to Qursaya Island.The boat ride provides a different perspective on Qursaya Island before you arrive to explore its community and surroundings. By joining, you'll also be supporting VeryNile, a local initiative working to protect the Nile and create opportunities for the communities connected to it. The experience is planned to finish around 10:00 PM, with 10:30 PM as the latest intended end time.
